Greg's New Spot

This is currently Greg's favorite spot in the house. He had to find a new one, a change of scenery, since he has taken over the couch in the Family Room as his "office" while he is working from home!

The Temperatures Are Rising

This is the thermometer in Madi's room. It is outside her bedroom window and gets direct sun in the afternoon. This is from Tuesday.

This is the thermometer in our kitchen. It is in the backyard also, but under the playset, in the shade. The funniest thing...yes, Joshua is wearing his winter pajamas! He put them on as soon as he got home from swim lessons this morning, and hasn't taken them off all day! Crazy kid! He wasn't too happy when I told him he couldn't wear them to bed. The poor kid would roast in them! He loves being warm. I don't know what he will do if or when we ever have to move somewhere cold!

Little Visitors

We have had two little visitors this past week. Nala isn't too sure about them. She will hardly leave the window since their arrival.

We aren't too sure where they came from. They don't go too far, just about a 5 foot radius. It has been fun watching them.

But, boy, are they making a mess!

The Shark

Joshua couldn't wait to get a shark slip n' slide for his birthday! He was excited, but a little scared at the same time.

The take off!

Heading for the mouth of the shark.

And he survived! All smiles!

Dad had to give it a go, too. But quickly decided that slip n' slides are made for 6 year olds, not 40 year olds!

Swimming Lessons

Joshua has had swimming lessons this week (and next). He is a little fish!!

Greg says this is his Michael Phelps look.

Getting ready to take off.

And taking a "dive" off the board. His favorite thing each day!

Joshua's Twinkle Concert

Joshua was suppose to have his Twinkle Concert back in April. Well, we finally had this week. He did great!! We are so proud of him.

He was just happy to finally have his Twinkle Trophy!

Really happy!! Here is part of his concert. Take a listen.

Bravo, Joshua!!

The Party

The party HAD to be at Pump It Up!

More presents than he could ever want!

An awesome rocket cake!

Lots of friends!

Lots of play time!

I'm not sure who had the most fun though!

Even the dads (Greg and one of his buddies) got into it!

And yes. Even Mom had some fun, too!

The slides were the best!
Happy 6th. Birthday, Joshua!! We love you!!

The Cake

Joshua had definite plans for his birthday this year! First, the cake.

Madi and I set out to construct the perfect (at least in Joshua's eyes)...

ROCKET cake!

KidSwing

Yesterday was the big day, Madi's KidSwing Tournament.

She and Greg had a blast spending the whole day together!

Her team had a great time. They hit well, but didn't place. They only had 3 on their team, and didn't know that they could've been hitting an extra ball for their "fourth". Oh, well!! It was for a really good cause, Texas Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. Everything was done amazingly! She is already planning for next year!

They had little competitions along the way. Madi ended up winning "Closest to the Squiggly Line". She was happy about that!

And then there was the pool party and BBQ afterwards! Joshua and I drove up to join them.

A great day all for a really great cause!

A Little Shopping in Cedar Hills

There is this new shopping area near us. A fun place to hang out. They have a little take-out place called "Max n' Cheese". All they have is macaroni and cheese, with lots of different toppings. Goldfish, Ritz crackers, bacon, jalapenos, ham, pico de gallo, etc. It was actually yummy!

Joshua loves being outside, so he was o.k. with it all. He even said he wanted to go shopping and get some COOL t-shirts.

They even have a water play area (with towels provided, yeah!), but he wasn't interested in getting wet this time. I couldn't believe it since it was about 100. He must have decided he was a little too cool to play tonight!

Father-Son Camp Out

The tent

Joshua and who else but...Mer!

Chillin' in the hammock! They had a great time, and were the only ones who came back without any Chigger bites! Yeah!! Now that is an accomplishment!
